Let’s taste the wine before we smoke
Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc: New Zealand is one of the most popular places in the world for Sauvignon Blanc, specifically the Marlborough region on the northern island, and Kim Crawford is a benchmark for the area. The bright acidity is met with a medium body and a medium finish. The aroma and flavor are dominated by lime and tropical notes like grapefruit, passion fruit, a whisper of pineapple, and hints of melon.
How ‘bout we spark it up?
Jack Herer is an old friend if you have been partaking in cannabis for some time. This strain is named after Jack Herer, author of “The Emperor Wears No Clothes.” Through tireless activism and his landmark book, Jack Herer can take most of the credit for reminding the world that cannabis, in all its forms, has always been one of humankind’s most valuable resources. This strain does not disappoint. Some believe it has a double-edged potency – a mountainous cerebral high underpinned by a comfortable body-buzz and a long finish. Be prepared to feel very pleasant when your head is firmly in the clouds.
As I take a drag, there is pepper and ground spices that work through the resin and over my taste buds. This strain has always been an important tentpole for the culture, but it can be complex with a brush stroke of a mountain forest across the palette. It's borderline nostalgic.
Sip and smoke? Don’t mind if I do
A burst of herbaceous forest combined with the subtle tropical freshness provides a world of wonder with every exchange. A marbling of pineapple upside down cake crosses my taste buds. There is a nectar component that is elevated by the combination of Jack Herer and the Sauvignon Blanc. The Jack Herer may very well be dimming the Kim Crawford’s once bright acidity, and enhancing any residual sugar within the Sauvignon Blanc as well as the seismic power of this cannabis strain. Jack Herer has ignited some hidden gems within the Sauvignon Blanc varietal, but it may be too much for the delicacy of the wine. It is important to keep in mind that the wine is devoid of tannins, and has medium alcohol and medium body, leaving it open to be overpowered by one of the most legendary strains of all time.
